Walk The Block Every Saturday

"Walk The Block" is a community initiative that was created in July 2020 to help struggling small businesses in Barrio Logan. Shop owners and local vendors set up their outdoor booths all along Logan Avenue. Food, Drinks, Clothing, & Gifts all available with a chican@ twist.

Del Mar Racing Season Through Sept. 6

Fans flock to the track each summer to wager on their favorite horses during the popular, annual Del Mar Racetrack racing season, mid-July - early-September. Be part of the magic and nostalgia of this long-time horse race tradition dating back to 1937 when Bing Crosby greeted the first guests, and Seabiscuit won by a nose in the infamous race in 1938. This season features the nation's top racehorses, trainers and jockeys, and plenty of fun in the sun.

Nighttime Zoo Through Sept. 6

Stay after dark and help us celebrate summer during Nighttime Zoo at the San Diego Zoo. Come "rock and roar" every day this summer with music and other amazing entertainment experiences. There's so much to do, see, and hear at Nighttime Zoo—it's a good thing summer hours are longer!

Lazy Days, a Virtual Art Exhibition Aug. 6-Sept. 2

ArtWalk @ Liberty Station Aug. 7-8

This year marks 16 years of the fine arts show which brings visual arts to the historic San Diego community. Pupologie Cardiff Dog Days of Summer10 Aug. 8

This free event features numerous dog-related vendors, rescue groups, pet adoption agencies, and an agility course by Kamp Kanine. The City of Encinitas “Pet Health Expo” will be onsite providing pet micro-chipping thanks to San Diego Humane Society.

Salute To The Military Aug. 21

Since 1985, the Coronado Chamber of Commerce has hosted this black-tie affair, giving Coronado citizens and surrounding business communities an opportunity to show their thanks and support to local military members and their families. The evening will also include the presentation of the Harry T. Jenkins Memorial Award, the VADM James & Sybil Stockdale Award, and the VADM Edward H. Martin Distinguished Community Service Award to deserving military & community members.

Armed Forces Day Operation Appreciation Aug. 21

The Oceanside Chamber will bring the business community and area residents together to provide a day of recognition to all active-duty military stationed on Marine Corps Base Camp Joseph H. Pendleton and nearby military bases. Active duty military, their family and dependents are treated to a day of free food, entertainment and a fun zone for kids.
